Being a Nurse makes a difference!

Eniko Benfield – Nurse Director

I am Eniko Benfield, Compassion HomeCare’s Nurse Director. For over 25 years I worked as a Nurse in both the community and some of London’s major hospitals.


For 18 years I was a Senior Cancer Nurse Specialist and had the privilege of supporting people at the end of their life. It was incredibly rewarding to be able to make such a difference to them at this very sensitive time.

    In 2011 I started to become more aware of the services that were available to the elderly in their own homes. Very few of these had any medically qualified person leading them, in most cases the owners were private business people or large corporate companies.


    I really felt that having a qualified Nurse or Health Professional running a home care service was key and in 2011 took the decision to launch Compassion HomeCare with my husband Tony.


    I am still a Registered Nurse and believe that Compassion HomeCare is the only CQC home care provider registered within Bromley that is led by a practising Nurse. My experience, which is passed onto the team I manage, can make a real difference to the care that is provided.


    I believe that as a nurse-led provider of care in your home, we can offer a viable alternative to moving to a Residential or Nursing Home.


    I hold a BsC (Hons) in Professional Practice in Health Care, a Diploma in Nursing Studies and have a Business Diploma in Neuro Linguistics Programming. I also enjoy being a member of my local Church.

Tony Benfield – Business Director

I have extensive experience in business management gained through senior management roles within both the telecommunications and publishing industries. I also have experience of managing a charity and am an active member of my local Church.


I hold a Diploma in Management Studies from the City of London University and a Diploma in Financial Management from the ACCA.

Zoe Buys – Supervisor

I joined Compassion HomeCare in 2017 as a Carer. Since then I have progressed and am now a Supervisor with particular responsibility for the computerised medications management system. I am also a qualified manual handling assessor and First Aid trainer and have a Level 2 qualification in British Sign Language (BSL).


I enjoy the outdoors, taking day trips with my family, sailing and bike riding. My hobbies are making Christmas decorations and selling them at market.


My goal is to become a “Dementia Friends Champion” and complete my NVQ level 3 in Health and Social care.

I have been with Compassion Homecare for over 6 years. I am a qualified manual handling assessor and trainer, training both our care team and assessing clients needs. I love my job as a carer very much and learn so much from looking after Compassion Homecare’s wonderful elderly clients. I am a firm believer in exercise and like to encourage others, I get great satisfaction from seeing others try and progress in getting fitter regardless of their ability.

I really enjoy my work with Compassion Homecare, because I can make my client's day better and easier with my little help. It is truly rewarding to see them living safety and enjoying the comfort of their own home.


I joined Compassion Homecare in 2018 as a Carer and am currently studying for my NVQ in Health Care.


When I have some free time, I would like to spend it with my family and love baking for them.
